Bidders line up for BAA airports
28.04.08
Hochtief, the German construction and infrastructure group, is reported to be heading a crowd of bidders if BAA is forced to sell UK airports. The German group, which has airport investments around the world, is understood to have already indicated that it is interested in buying Gatwick, should the UK airports operator be forced to sell.
Manchester Airports Group, which last week announced that it plans to sell Humberside Airport, is reported to be another bidder, as is Global Infrastructure Partners, the joint-venture between Credit Suisse and GE that bought London City Airport last year.
