BAA could sell Italian airport
14.06.10
BAA is in talks about selling Naples Airport - its only airport outside of the UK - to an Italian buyer. Reuters reports Italian infrastructure company F2i is in talks with Ferrovial, BAA's parent, about buying BAA's 65% stake in Naples International Airport (the remaining 35% is owned by local authorities in the city).
A spokesperson for F2i confirmed it is discussing an investment in an ‘important airport infrastructure located in Southern Italy’. The sale would help cut Ferrovial's debt, with the airport considered a 'non core asset.' Offers are reported to be in the region of €200m.
