WHSmith to upgrade airport stores

WHSmith is revamping its stores across Heathrow's terminals to offer passengers better customer service. The retailer is to introduce a number of initiatives, including self-service check-outs to provide customers with more payment points and reduce queuing times, and ‘Here to Help’ staff to assist shoppers to find what they want as quickly as possible.
It will also host a series of events in its Heathrow stores targeted at all the family – from dates such as Chinese New Year and Thanksgiving, to meet-and-greets with authors. The stores will also support Global Literacy Day and World Book Day, as well as the upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games.
