BAA expect higher profits from less passengers
10.06.11
BAA has increased its profit forecast for this year from Heathrow and Stansted airports. The increase comes despite lower passenger numbers now expected at the two airports.
The airports operator says it expects 86.9 million people to use the two London airports, down from its earlier forecast of 88 million. But higher spending by passengers on airport parking, in shops and at restaurants has pushed its forecast for 2011 earnings before interest, tax and amortisation up by £4 million to £1.12 billion.
