New codeshare deal for Virgin and Cyprus Airways
09.06.11
Virgin Atlantic and Cyprus Airways have signed a new codeshare agreement on flights between the UK, the US and Cyprus. The agreement allows passengers to book single itineraries and connect between Cypriot gateway Larnaca and a variety of Virgin Atlantic’s US destinations via Heathrow.
The initial agreement will see Cyprus Airways put their code on Virgin Atlantic flights operating between Heathrow and Boston, LA and New York, while Virgin will codeshare on Cyprus Airways services between Larnaca and Heathrow. The agreement will come into force on 25 July, subject to obtaining government approvals.
