New IT director for IAG

IAG, the holding company of BA and Iberia, has announced the appointment of Nigel Underwood as group chief information officer. Mr Underwood has over 20 years of international IT experience and has worked on several large scale merger and acquisitions projects, with previous roles as CIO at DHL Logistics, Exel and Hilton Group.
He will work with the senior management team and the two airline's IT teams to deliver synergies, create an overall IT strategy and develop an effective group-wide IT operating model. IAG expects to generate annual synergy savings of €400million by year five.
