Heathrow world’s busiest international airport; forth biggest airport

Airports Council International's (ACI) World Annual Traffic Report for 2010 was released today. It shows that Heathrow Airport was the world's busiest in 2010 in terms of international passenger numbers, with 60.9 million international passengers, up 0.4% on last year. It was ahead of Paris Charles de Gaulle, Hong Kong International, Dubai International and Frankfurt airports.
Atlanta International Airport was the busiest in total passengers with 89.3 million passengers (up 1.5%), ahead of fast-growing Beijing Capital International Airport (73.9 million, up 13.1%). Heathrow dropped from second last year to forth (65.9 million, down 0.2%), behind Atlanta, Beijing (73.9 million, up 13.1%) and Chicago (66.8 million, up 4.1%).
